About The Role
Based in West Hanningfield, this full-time, temporary Forklift Driver – Counterbalance position with Pertemps Newcastle offers £16.08 per hour. Essex & Suffolk Water are seeking an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join their team on a 3 month fixed term contract. This role will support warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring the safe and efficient movement of stock and materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating a counterbalance forklift to move, load, and unload items safely
- Picking stock accurately using paper pick sheets
- Transporting materials to designated locations within the warehouse or yard
- Carrying out daily forklift checks and reporting any faults
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Adhering to all health & safety procedures at all times

Requirements
- Valid and in-date Counterbalance Forklift licence
- Proven experience operating a counterbalance forklift in a warehouse or similar environment
- Experience using paper-based picking systems
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong awareness of health and safety practices
