Pilgrim’s Europe are looking for: Despatch Fork Lift Driver to Join us - at Windmill lane site in Southall London

Are you ready to be part of a dynamic team in a leading food manufacturing company? Pilgrim’s Europe is looking for motivated Fork Lift Driver to join our team and contribute to our success. If you have a keen eye for detail and a can-do attitude, this opportunity is for you!

Earn Big: Competitive Monthly rate, with the potential to earn over £500 per week!

Job

  • To deliver excellent results by following standard work, enabling the efficient flow of product and material, continually improving the work environment by, helping the team to achieve the required metrics for the area. Have a key focus on colleague safety, throughout, and adherence to standards.
  • Loading / Unloading of inbound and outbound trailers
  • Assisting picking on finding and unloading pallets for the racking
  • Assisting other departments, when they need a forklift driver
  • Scan pallets to loads
  • Unloading of equipment i.e Crates, empty Pallets

Leadership

  • Remain conscious of safety for self and others as a priority while completing any tasks.
  • Only carry out tasks that training has been provided for and sits within the team member's area of responsibility (e.g. do not operate equipment you are not authorised or trained to use).

Excellent Results

  • Identify, rectify, and report issues that may affect throughput (Picking and Out loading), product quality or team member health & safety, to facilitate further investigation and root cause analysis. Aspire to be part of a high performing team.
  • Conduct visual inspection of materials for damage, defect or foreign material and verification of material batch numbers and shelf life.
  • Setup the area and ensure all the following is adhered to: controls for working safely, hygiene standards, use of tools or equipment and order processing/picking as specified in area SOP’s.
  • Record and collect relevant data to enable excellent results such as order tracking, waste, non-conformances, rework, equipment issues, or availability of materials and information to perform your work etc.
  • Conduct periodic quality inspections and document as prescribed in SOP’s. Determine if corrective action is required and pursue implementation of corrective action to ensure avoid disruption or delay.

Standard Work and Problem Solving

  • Pre / during / post daily operations check vehicles, equipment or area as detailed in Autonomous Maintenance SOP's.
  • Collect data to underpin decisions for the allocation of resource within your area of work.
  • Work towards improving key metrics for the area and engage in 3C problem solving activity.
  • Standardise by following all available 5S, Work Element Sheets, Standard Operating Procedures and other standards required to run the area effectively.
  • Ensure that poor quality is not passed on to the next stage of the process

Qualifications

  • Foundation level Health and Safety and Food Safety - Desirable
  • Valid Forklift License - Essential

Balanced Schedule: We have a shift pattern of working 12 hours 4 on 3 off 3 on 4 off shift pattern, giving you more time for yourself.
