We are looking for a Forklift Driver to support grading operations by safely and efficiently transporting product, bins, pallets, and materials to and from the grading lines, hopper rooms, and storage areas. The role ensures smooth grading runs by maintaining accurate bin handling, weight checks, line supply, and adherence to food safety, quality, and health & safety standards.

The Position

  • Carry out daily forklift checks and routine maintenance including cleaning, water, oil, diesel, and tyre pressure.
  • Check empty bins before placing them onto the grading line to ensure they are clean, undamaged, and fit for use.
  • Remove full bins off the grading line promptly and transport them to the correct storage area.
  • Check full bins containing product on the scales to ensure weights are accurate before labelling.
  • Apply or support correct labelling procedures once weight accuracy has been confirmed.
  • Transport graded product to designated storage locations in an organised and timely manner.
  • Move product into hopper rooms in preparation for upcoming grading runs, ensuring correct product type and rotation.
  • Support graders and line operators by responding quickly to bin, product, or hopper requirements to minimise downtime.
  • Operate forklift trucks safely at all times in line with company procedures, site rules, and health & safety legislation.
  • Immediately report any defects, faults, or safety concerns with forklifts or equipment to the Production Technician Engineer and/or Production Technician Supervisor.
  • Ensure loads are secure, stable, and correctly positioned before lifting or transporting.
  • Remain aware of pedestrians, machinery, buildings, and grading equipment to avoid damage or injury.
  • Report all accidents, near misses, or incidents to the supervisor as soon as possible.
  • Keep the grader area, forklift routes, and storage areas clean, tidy, and safe at all times.
  • Stack bins, pallets, and trays neatly, in designated locations, and to the correct height.
  • Complete all required paperwork fully and accurately, including forklift check sheets, loading plans, rejects records, hopper sheets, and any grader-related documentation.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
