Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Hours: Weekdays Only, 7am-5pm or 6am-4pm (no weekends)

Forklift Engineer – The Role
We're looking for a skilled Forklift Engineer to join our busy workshop team, responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing forklifts and associated handling equipment to the highest standard.

As a Forklift Engineer at Mainline, you'll carry out planned maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs both in the workshop and, where required, on customer sites. You'll play a key role in keeping our fleet safe, compliant, and ready for hire, directly supporting our reputation for reliability and quality.

Forklift Engineer - Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on forklifts and related handling equipment
- Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime
- Complete thorough safety inspections and ensure equipment meets compliance standards
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Carry out repairs on customer sites when required, representing the Mainline brand professionally
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures
- Work collaboratively with the wider engineering and workshop team
Forklift Engineer - What We're Looking For
- Recognised engineering qualification (Mechanical, Electrical, or similar) desirable
- Experience servicing and repairing forklifts or similar plant/handling equipment desirable
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Positive, can-do attitude to problem solving
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- The ability to prioritise tasks in an ever-changing demanding hire environment and work well under pressure
