This is a secondment for internal candidate for a 6 month period
About The Role
Location: Bodmin, Cornwall
External candidates this will be a 6 month fixed term potentially leading to a full time position.
Salary £33,774.84 per annum / £13.63 per hour
Working 47.5 hours per week
Shift: Monday - Friday
Start time: 07:00 am - 17:00 pm
Working every Bank Holiday overtime x 2 plus a day in lieu
Full PPE provided
What will I be doing?
You will operate a counterbalance forklift truck to both feed the raw material and load out the sorted bales of recovered material.

This Role Involves
- You will operate the production equipment and carry out quality sampling checks.
- You will assist with the resolution of plant stoppages / blockages.
- You will carry out housekeeping duties in line with our 5’s lean objectives.
- Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be involved with the day-to-day recycling operations.
- Under the direction of management, you will ensure compliance with relevant legislation, health and safety issues and company policies.
- You will work with our customers to maximise reduce, reuse and recycle of waste materials produced at the site.
- You will control the exchange of containers by booking loads with the relevant person, thus ensuring the site always has space to segregate and store material correctly.
- You will maintain a safe and tidy site within your areas of responsibility.
- Any other duties that are reasonably requested within the scope of the job-role
What are the requirements?
You will need to hold a valid counterbalance forklift truck (FLT) license and, as additional mobile plant use is a key part of this role.

Other Requirements Include
- We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, who will be expected to join the current site team to ensure site operations exceed the standards required.
- An excellent level of customer service and teamwork is a key part of this role.
- A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
- A safety conscious person with the desire to develop and embrace change to promote continuous improvement.
- Previous experience within the waste industry or other high-volume production processes is an advantage, but not a necessity (training will be given).
