Job Opportunity: Warehouse / Material Handler

PE Global is currently recruiting for an experienced Warehouse / Material Handler to join our manufacturing client based in Aycliffe. The role is an initial 6-month contract and the rate for this role is £18.46 p/hour (including shift premium).

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV), including Reach Truck, Counterbalance and Man Rider equipment, safely and efficiently.
  • Receive, pick, pack and prepare customer orders for dispatch in line with company procedures.
  • Load and unload vehicles and move materials throughout the warehouse and production areas.
  • Maintain accurate stock records and update inventory using SAP and warehouse management systems.
  • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments and ensure all documentation is completed accurately.
  • Work both indoors and outdoors as required while maintaining a safe and organised working environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure work is completed efficiently and deadlines are met.
  • Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies at all times.

Requirements

  • Valid PIV licence with proven experience operating Reach Truck, Counterbalance and Man Rider equipment (essential).
  • Previous warehouse or logistics experience.
  • SAP experience is desirable.
  • Good computer literacy and basic data entry skills.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Flexible approach to work and willingness to work a rotating three-shift pattern.
  • Good time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines.
  • GCSEs or equivalent qualification is preferred.

Contract Details

  • Location: Aycliffe
  • Duration: Initial 6-month contract
  • Hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday on a rotating three-shift pattern
  • Pay: £15.45 per hour plus £3.01 shift premium (£18.46 per hour). Overtime paid at enhanced rates.

Please note PE Global cannot provide visa sponsorship for this role; candidates will need the full right to live and work within the UK for at least the next 6 months.
