The Opportunity
Ready to bring your skills to a high-energy, industry-leading team? We are looking for a driven, reliable Forklift Operator to kick our Concrete Block Paving operation in Leighton Buzzard into high gear!
Working a regular Monday to Friday schedule on a rotating shift pattern (7:00 am – 3:00 pm / 9:00 am – 5:00 pm), you won't just be moving stock, you’ll be the engine behind our site's logistics, ensuring top-tier products are safely handled, precisely loaded, and ready to roll out to our customers on time.
As one of two key operators managing our busy yard on a manufacturing site, you’ll take real ownership of your domain. You’ll build strong connections with drivers and team members while keeping our environment safe, sharp, and running at peak performance. If you thrive in a dynamic, hands-on role where no two days are the same and taking pride in your work is second nature, this is your chance to shine.
Full ongoing support and specialised training—including loading shovel operation—will be provided to help you succeed and expand your skillset!
What You'll Be Doing
- Drive Precision Logistics: Safely load and unload high-quality concrete block paving products using a forklift truck—and gear up for hands-on training to operate a loading shovel!
- Own the Yard: Keep our site clean, organised, and running seamlessly by maintaining ultimate safety and housekeeping standards.
- Keep Equipment Prime: Perform daily mobile plant inspections, promptly flagging any defects to keep our machinery operating safely and smoothly.
- Master Inventory: Conduct accurate stock checks, manage inventory flow, and enforce efficient stock rotation practices.
- Connect & Deliver: Serve as a key point of contact for drivers and hauliers, delivering standout service while making sure every haul is loaded accurately and efficiently.

Who You Are
- Experienced Operator: You hold a valid FLT licence and have hands-on experience operating forklift trucks in a yard, manufacturing, or industrial setting.
- Driven & Reliable: You hold yourself to high standards when it comes to safety, organisation, and delivering great service.
- A Team Player & Self-Starter: You love having real ownership over your work in a small-team setting, stepping up whenever a colleague needs a hand.
- Great Communicator: You are approachable, confident, and eager to build strong, positive working relationships with site teams, hauliers, and drivers alike.
