Scientist – Injectable Formulation Development (Biologics)
Location: EU-based (right to work required)
About the Opportunity
Our client, a leading global biopharmaceutical organisation, is seeking a talented laboratory-based scientist to join their Injectable Formulation Development team. This group plays a pivotal role in advancing biologics programmes, providing robust formulations to support the full development lifecycle—from early toxicology studies through to late-stage clinical trials. The team is also committed to innovating new formulation technologies to enhance the stability of both conventional and next-generation antibody formats.

- Conduct analytical experiments and enabling studies to support non-clinical and clinical development.
- Contribute to pre-formulation and formulation activities, including lab set-up and maintenance of technical resources.
- Prepare scientific documentation such as protocols and reports, drawing on a strong understanding of biochemical and biophysical degradation pathways in antibody-based molecules.
- Present experimental findings to project teams and stakeholders.
Skills & Experience
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) or PhD in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Biology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on laboratory experience.
- Strong technical expertise in protein/antibody analytical methods such as HPLC/UPLC, iCE, UV spectroscopy, DLS, CGE, rheology, and sub-visible particle analysis.
- Experience in formulation development and/or laboratory automation is advantageous.
- High level of numeracy with the ability to critically interpret data.
- Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
- Proven ability to work effectively within a team.
