Formulation Scientist
Are you a formulation scientist passionate about transforming scientific insight into real-world manufacturing outcomes? Join a globally recognised pharmaceutical innovator where you'll play a key role in assessing material variability, predicting product performance, and supporting critical manufacturing decisions. Working at the interface of formulation science, process development, and data-driven modelling, you'll have the opportunity to influence the development and supply of medicines used by patients worldwide while collaborating with leading scientific experts in a highly advanced research and manufacturing environment.
Important Details:
- 18-month contract opportunity
- Location: Sandwich, Kent UK
- Business Hours: Monday-Friday
- Base Pay Rate: £18.00 - £20.00/Hour
Responsibilities include:
- Assess the impact of raw material, API, and supplier variability on pharmaceutical product performance.
- Use laboratory studies and predictive modelling to evaluate manufacturability and product quality.
- Develop small-scale models to simulate commercial manufacturing processes.
- Support risk-based decisions for material and supplier changes.
- Translate scientific data into recommendations for manufacturing operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related discipline.
- 3-5 years' experience in formulation development, process development, or manufacturing sciences.
- Experience working with oral solid dosage forms and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
- Proven experience designing experiments and interpreting scientific data.
- Industry experience within a pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical environment.
