Fortinet Network Engineer
Midlands | Hybrid Working
£50,000 - £60,000 + Benefits
We're looking for a skilled 3rd Line Network Engineer with strong Fortinet experience to join a growing Network infrastructure team.
You will be working for a growing business, that invests in its technology and people. You will be working in a regulated industry, delivering best in class network solutions.
This role will suit someone who enjoys getting hands-on with complex technical issues, taking ownership of escalations, and delivering reliable, secure network solutions across a varied environment.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing 3rd line support for network and security-related incidents.
- Managing and supporting Fortinet technologies, including FortiGate firewalls.
- Troubleshooting complex routing, switching and VPN issues.
- Delivering network upgrades, migrations and improvement projects.
- Ensuring network performance, availability and security are maintained to a high standard.
- Working closely with internal teams and stakeholders to resolve technical challenges.
- Producing and maintaining technical documentation.

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in a 3rd Line Network Engineer or Senior Network Engineer position.
- Strong Fortinet knowledge, particularly FortiGate.
- Experience with BGP, OSPF, VLANs and VPN technologies.
- Solid understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve complex issues independently.
- Clear communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Ideally you’ll have:
- Fortinet certifications.
- Experience with Cisco, Aruba or Juniper technologies.
- Exposure to Azure or AWS networking.
