We’re at our brightest when we’re all together. Our Club, our teams, our community.
Role Purpose
We are seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to put AI to work inside the Club. We have just finished a transformation that gave us a single fan identity, trusted data and modern enterprise systems, and we are standardising on Claude as the Club’s AI platform. The next step is agents that do real work on top of those systems, on our own data and under governance we control.
This role sits alongside business teams, working out what a process actually needs and building it with the people who use it in the room. The role is one of a small team of forward deployed engineers, with a clear finish line: agents or automated processes live in at least four functions, a sized pipeline for the rest.
Key Responsibilities
- Put AI to work inside the Club, function by function: sit with each business team, find the work AI or an agent can now do on our own systems and data, agree what the process needs and what success looks like, and build it with the people who use it in the room, from discovery through to live service
- Be the Club’s hands-on authority on Claude and MCP from week one: the role owns the out of the box and custom MCP servers, tool design, runtime, and Claude Skills the programme runs on
- Recommend the best way to solve each problem and make the case to non-technical colleagues: what the agent does, what stays with a person, what it will cost to run and what it should deliver
- Build the Club’s first agent end to end: a sponsorship sales agent covering prospecting, qualification, Salesforce relationship checks, contact enrichment, governed writes and outbound preparation, with a salesperson approving every external communication
- Build governance in from the start: per-user authentication so Claude only reaches what that person can already see, read-only access first, controlled write actions that keep Salesforce’s business rules in force, and security sign-off before any write capability goes live
- Build the tooling, interfaces and web applications that make the Club’s enterprise systems usable at the point of work
- Size and prioritise a pipeline of opportunities across other departments, including venue and events sales, finance operations and people operations, and build the highest-value ones
- Measure what gets built, tracking adoption and process metrics on each workflow, and present the evidence at programme checkpoints

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
