FDE Engineer

Hybrid travel to the London office 2x per week

The Opportunity

We're working with a fast-moving organisation looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer. It's a hybrid role combining deep infrastructure expertise with a genuine client-facing mandate.

You won't just be building and running cloud infrastructure behind the scenes; you'll be sitting alongside clients day-to-day, translating technical AI capability into practical business outcomes, and shaping the solutions your infrastructure will support.

What You'll Do

  • Client-facing (core requirement): Work directly with clients daily to understand business needs, explain AI in practical terms, and identify where AI/agentic workflows can add real value
  • Design and own Azure infrastructure as code (Terraform/Bicep), version-controlled, peer-reviewed
  • Own CI/CD pipelines end-to-end (GitHub Actions / Azure DevOps) automated build, test, and deploy
  • Deliver zero-downtime deployments with rollback capability and production monitoring
  • Implement security and compliance: secrets management, network isolation, encryption, audit logging, UAE data residency
  • Build observability: logging, metrics, distributed tracing, alerting, and dashboards
  • Lead incident response: on-call rotation, playbooks, root-cause post-mortems
  • Coordinate releases across services, manage database migrations, and maintain runbooks

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
