Forward Deployed Engineer

London | Hybrid | £100,000–£175,000 + Equity | Full-time

The opportunity

We’re working with a high-growth enterprise AI company that has recently raised $50m in Series A funding, founded by an experienced ex-Palantir team and backed by leading investors. They’re building an enterprise AI platform designed to solve some of the most complex operational problems inside large organisations.

They’re now looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to work directly with enterprise customers, understand their problems and build real, production-grade software to solve them. This is a highly hands-on role. You won't simply be gathering requirements and passing them back to a product team — you'll be in the room with customers, building and shipping solutions yourself.

What you'll do

  • Deploy directly with enterprise customers, both nationally and internationally
  • Understand complex operational problems and translate them into technical solutions
  • Rapidly design, prototype and ship working software — often within days rather than months
  • Work across different customer environments, technologies and industries
  • Collaborate with other Forward Deployed Engineers and software engineers
  • Deliver compelling technical demos and pilots for prospective enterprise customers
  • Feed customer insights and learnings directly into the core product roadmap

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
