numi partners with a fast-growing, founder-led AI startup building autonomous agents for some of the world's largest engineering and infrastructure enterprises, to find their next Forward Deployed Engineer.
This is a rare seat at the sharp end of a genuine first-mover product. It's a ~15-person, profitable, founder-owned business that has spent the last year pivoting from tooling into a full agentic platform, is already live with major enterprise pilots showing strong retention, and is joining at a pivotal moment as it scales fast.
You'll sit shoulder-to-shoulder with the founder and the company's biggest customers, translating what enterprise clients actually need into what gets built, then owning that build end-to-end. When something breaks, you're the one at the table with the client, fixing it.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What we need:
- A computer science degree, or an equally strong, hands-on CS background. This one is non-negotiable.
- Serious, demonstrable coding ability: this is a builder role first, so pure research or data-science-only profiles won't be the right fit.
- Forward Deployed / Applied AI pedigree, ideally from a frontier AI company.
- Startup instincts over pure enterprise polish, comfortable with ambiguity and moving fast.
- The confidence to challenge a founder productively inside a direct, high-ownership culture.
