MBN Solutions is partnering with a growing developer tools company tackling a challenge that becomes more important as AI accelerates software development: helping engineering teams verify their changes and release reliable products faster.
Its technology automatically generates and maintains visual browser tests, reducing the effort engineers spend writing and updating tests. Underneath that product are demanding engineering problems involving browser internals, rendering, parallel execution and complex customer architectures.
The company reports $20 million in funding and fivefold year-on-year growth, with backing from venture investors and experienced technology founders.
You’ll join a small team at its London headquarters, working alongside core engineering as an early member of the Forward Deployed Engineering function. You’ll influence both the product and how customer deployments are delivered as the business scales.
The opportunity
We’re looking for an exceptional hands-on engineer who can build demanding production systems and take ownership of getting them working for customers.
You’ll work directly with senior engineers and engineering leaders, leading technical pilots and integrations while writing code to solve the problems you uncover. Customer requirements can take you deep into the core product: improving browser behaviour, resolving difficult integration issues or adapting the platform to a new level of scale.

Most of your work will be driven by customer outcomes. That includes substantial engineering, ownership of multiple engagements and the follow-through needed to turn a pilot into a successful rollout. A founder or account executive partners with you on the account and handles pricing and contracts.
What you’ll do
- Own technical scoping, pilots, integration and rollout, pairing directly with customer engineers.
- Diagnose problems in unfamiliar codebases and ship production changes that remove deployment blockers.
- Build product improvements that meet demanding customer requirements and benefit future deployments.
- Work across browser internals, web APIs, rendering behaviour and continuous integration systems.
- Keep customer engagements moving through clear communication, technical judgement and ownership.
- Help establish the tooling, processes and engineering practices of the growing FDE team.
What you’ll bring
- Recent, substantial production coding experience, including deeply technical work in a growing startup or similarly demanding environment.
- Clear evidence of what you personally built, the hardest problems you solved and the outcomes achieved.
- Strong algorithmic reasoning, problem decomposition and debugging skills.
- A computer science degree from a leading university.
- The communication skills and motivation to work directly with customers and own delivery through difficult problems.
- A distinctive engineering achievement, such as building a product from scratch, solving a significant scaling problem or making a substantial open-source contribution.

Technical founders, founding engineers and FDEs with substantial software development experience are particularly relevant. Engineers moving into their first FDE role are also welcome if they can demonstrate strong coding ability, stakeholder ownership and a clear appetite for customer work.
The typical experience range is three to eight years. JavaScript and TypeScript are used extensively, but the hiring team places greater weight on engineering fundamentals and problem-solving than a particular language background.

The package is £160,000–£310,000 base, depending on experience and qualifications, plus competitive equity. The role is based in London five days a week, with up to 25% client travel and collaboration across time zones.
The interview process includes a collaborative coding exercise based on a real engineering problem, with further discussions and onsite sessions covering technical depth, debugging and ownership.
