monday.com is the AI work platform powering the most ambitious teams. 250,000+ customers across departments use us to bring people, workflows, and AI agents together on one flexible platform where AI doesn't just assist, it executes. We move fast, build things that matter, and foster an ownership-driven culture where you're empowered to shape how organizations work and outpace their competition.
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Forward Deployed Engineer to join our Professional Services team in London. You will own the technical delivery of solutions that embed the monday.com AI Work Platform into a customer's enterprise tech stack through integration, custom application development, and agentic AI engineering. You will work directly with customers to turn business problems into production systems their businesses depend on.
As a senior member of the team, you will set the technical direction of our most complex EMEA engagements, including outcome-based engagements where monday.com delivers a working business result. You will also raise the technical bar of the London team and help shape the global Services tooling roadmap.
Please note that this is a hybrid position with three days/week in our London office.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end technical design of complex, multi-workstream engagements: architecture, integration approach, security and governance, and the path from pilot to scale.
- Lead technical scoping before and after the sale: break a business problem into a deliverable solution, estimate effort and risk, and shape the delivery plan and the commercial model with account and deployment strategy teams.
- Deliver outcome-based engagements, where success is measured by the business result in production (throughput, cycle time, manual effort removed), not hours delivered. Define the success metrics, the operating model after go-live, and how the solution keeps improving.
- Engineer complex and agentic AI solutions using our developer tools, including the monday.com API, MCP, and apps framework, to deliver data migrations, integrations with core enterprise systems (ERP, CRM, ITSM, data platforms), and custom applications.
- Lead technical consulting engagements for customers, applying industry knowledge in the areas of AI transformation, system scale, security, user governance, and data architecture.
- Navigate both complex engagements, where you execute defined technical scope within a delivery team, and standalone engagements, carrying customer communication, sequencing, and delivery yourself.
- Mentor and review the work of other engineers. Set standards for code quality, testing, documentation, and AI reliability across the team's builds.
- Produce the documentation, walkthroughs, and exit artifacts that let customers operate, maintain, and extend what you build.
- Advocate for customers with Product and R&D when their needs are not met, and help extend monday.com's product capabilities.
- Contribute to the global Services tooling roadmap and shared asset library: internal utilities, reusable components, and reference implementations that make each engagement faster than the last.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- 5+ years as a forward deployed engineer, software engineer, solutions engineer, or technical consultant in enterprise software, with a track record of leading hands-on technical delivery for external customers in complex enterprise environments.
- Breadth over specialization: a strong engineer with AI depth who is comfortable across the stack, rather than a pure frontend or backend specialist.
- Fluency in Generative and Agentic AI development: LLM-based workflows, agent orchestration and tool use, context and retrieval design, with AI-assisted editors such as Cursor or Claude Code in daily use.
- Experience keeping AI reliable in production: evaluation harnesses, guardrails, human-in-the-loop review, tracing, and the failure modes that only show up once a system is live.
- Strong working knowledge of APIs (REST, GraphQL), webhooks, MCP, identity management (SCIM), and authentication protocols (SAML 2.0 / OAuth 2.0).
- Software development experience in TypeScript and JavaScript, with depth in React or Node.js; full-stack experience preferred.
- Hands-on experience in enterprise data mobility and integrations: the SQL, scripts, and n8n or Workato automations that migrate and transform customer data into target systems.
- Production engineering practice: version control, automated testing, CI/CD, and deployment to AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience scoping and estimating technical work, and owning delivery against an agreed outcome, timeline, or commercial commitment.
- Consultative range and communication skills to understand a business problem, frame a solution for senior client stakeholders, and explain technical topics clearly to a non-technical audience.
- Adaptability across customers, technology stacks, and unfamiliar domains, with the resilience to absorb a change of direction mid-engagement.
- Comfortable running several engagements at once, with strong project management habits.
- Positive attitude, empathy, and high energy; takes initiative and learns new technology to go where the work is.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
- BS or BA in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience also considered.
