167Solutions are looking for a highly technical, customer-focused Forward Deployment Engineer to bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI technology and real-world business challenges. You'll work directly with customers to rapidly prototype, build, and deploy AI-powered solutions that create measurable business value.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, working across engineering and customer teams, and turning ambitious ideas into production-ready applications.
What You'll Do
- Partner directly with customers to understand business challenges and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design, build, and deploy Generative AI applications tailored to customer needs.
- Rapidly prototype AI-powered products and iterate based on customer feedback.
- Develop scalable backend services and APIs using TypeScript.
- Architect and deploy cloud-native applications on AWS.
- Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs), vector databases, and modern AI frameworks into production systems.
- Build secure, reliable, and performant data pipelines to power AI applications.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders throughout the deployment lifecycle.
- Optimize AI solutions for performance, reliability, and cost.
- Help establish best practices for AI engineering, deployment, and customer success.

What We're Looking For
Required Skills:
- Strong software engineering experience with TypeScript.
- Experience building and deploying applications on AWS.
- Hands-on experience developing Generative AI applications using modern LLMs.
- Strong understanding of AI application architecture, APIs, and distributed systems.
- Experience working with structured and unstructured data.
- Ability to rapidly prototype solutions and iterate in fast-moving customer environments.
- Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work directly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in ambiguous environments and owning projects from concept to deployment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG).
- Knowledge of vector databases and semantic search.
- Experience with Python alongside TypeScript.
- Familiarity with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or similar.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, and containerization.
- Knowledge of modern frontend frameworks such as React or Next.js.
- Experience working with enterprise customers.
