Forward Deployed AI Engineer - Fully Remote
This is a rare opportunity to join an early stage, AI first biotech platform where you will sit at the intersection of advanced engineering and real world scientific impact. You will work directly with customers, deploying cutting edge AI into live research environments and helping teams accelerate how new drugs are discovered and developed.
The Role
- Act as a forward deployed engineer, working closely with client teams to design, build and deploy AI driven solutions on the platform
- Translate complex research and business questions into production ready LLM and RAG workflows
- Debug, optimise and scale LLM applications in real world, client facing environments
- Build and integrate data pipelines and services across cloud platforms and modern data stacks
- Collaborate with non technical stakeholders, clearly explaining platform capabilities and guiding them through best practice usage
- Feed learnings from deployments back into product and engineering teams to shape the roadmap

Your Skills and Experience
- Strong commercial engineering experience in AI, machine learning or data focused roles
- Hands on experience with retrieval augmented generation and production LLM workflows
- Confidence debugging and improving end to end LLM systems in live environments
- Experience working with modern data infrastructure such as Snowflake, BigQuery or Redshift
- Familiarity with graph databases and knowledge graphs, for example Neo4j, is highly desirable
- Comfortable in client facing environments, with the ability to work closely with non technical stakeholders
- Background in consultancy, product led organisations or start ups working closely with end users is beneficial
- No prior biotech experience required, but curiosity and the ability to learn complex domains quickly is essential
