Forward Deployed Engineer
We’re working with a fast-growing, venture-backed AI company looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to join its UK team.
This is a highly hands-on, customer-facing role where you’ll work directly with enterprise clients to design, build and deploy agentic AI solutions into production.
What you’ll be doing:
- Build and deploy AI agents into real customer environments
- Translate business workflows into agent logic, actions and integrations
- Integrate with APIs, ERPs, portals, spreadsheets, email and other systems
- Write hands-on integration/glue code and prototypes
- Debug and improve live AI agents in production
- Lead technical working sessions with enterprise customers
- Work closely with Product and Engineering to improve the platform

What they’re looking for:
- Around 5–8 years’ experience in Forward Deployed Engineering, Applied AI, technical consulting or a similar hands-on role
- Experience shipping AI/agentic systems into production
- Strong knowledge of LLMs, MCP, APIs, agent frameworks, prompt engineering and evals
- Coding ability across Python, JavaScript, SQL and APIs
- Strong customer-facing and stakeholder-management skills
- Ideally experience within a venture-backed startup/scale-up
- Must be UK-based or willing to relocate to the UK
- Comfortable travelling to customer sites across the UK/EU during active deployments
