Forward Deployed Engineer – Agentic AI - UK / Europe | Remote + Customer Travel
I’m working with a well-funded, high-growth AI company that is building a new generation of intelligent automation for complex enterprise operations.
They’re now looking for an experienced Forward Deployed Engineer to join the team across the UK/Europe.
This isn’t a traditional software engineering role, and it isn’t AI consulting where you deliver a strategy deck and walk away.
You’ll be embedded with enterprise customers, getting underneath how their businesses actually operate and then building and deploying AI agents that solve those problems in production.
What you'll be doing
- You’ll own deployments from initial discovery through to production and expansion.
- Working directly with customers to understand workflows across systems, spreadsheets, inboxes and operational teams; identifying what should be automated, and what needs redesigned first, then turning those processes into working agentic solutions.
- Building integrations and prototypes, configuring agents, working with APIs and enterprise systems, troubleshooting live deployments and iterating until you’re delivering measurable results.
- Crucially, you'll also own the customer relationship. You need to be equally comfortable writing Python as you are sitting in a room with senior customer stakeholders.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
