Luxoft is partnering with a leading global investment bank to improve the security, stability, resilience, and release reliability of mission-critical applications that support large-scale trading, risk, and banking operations. We're seeking experienced Forward Deployed Engineers who thrive in complex environments and enjoy rolling up their sleeves to solve difficult engineering challenges. This is a highly technical role that combines software engineering, DevOps, SRE, application security, test automation, and platform modernization. Unlike traditional consulting or architecture positions, approximately 70% of your time will be spent hands-on coding, troubleshooting, automating, and implementing solutions directly within production engineering environments.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you'll embed with development teams to tackle their most pressing technical challenges, including:
- Security vulnerability remediation and dependency management
- Legacy application modernization
- Test strategy transformation and TDD adoption
- Release automation and CI/CD optimization
- Production stability and operational resilience
- Java, Spring, JVM and runtime upgrades
- Containerization and OpenShift adoption
- Observability, monitoring and engineering excellence initiatives

You'll lead engagements from assessment through implementation, deployment, stabilization, and handover, leaving teams with stronger systems and sustainable engineering practices.
What We're Looking For
We're interested in engineers who love engineering.
You'll bring:
- Strong hands-on Java/JVM development experience
- Deep knowledge of Spring and enterprise application modernization
- Experience implementing Test-Driven Development and automated testing frameworks
- Expertise in CI/CD, release automation and software delivery practices
- Strong understanding of secure coding, vulnerability remediation and dependency risk management
- Production troubleshooting and debugging experience in complex distributed environments
- Experience with Docker, OpenShift and Linux-based platforms
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence technical stakeholders

- TypeScript / Node.js expertise
- Renovate, Dependabot or automated dependency management tooling
