Project Info
We are seeking a production-focused Forward Deployed Engineer — Client Solutions & Integration. This role is entirely built around the modern paradigm of AI-assisted engineering combined with senior-level technical leadership. You will not be writing every line of integration code manually; instead, you will utilize specialized AI "Skill Agents" (autonomous coding assistants and workflow generators) to rapidly build, test, and deploy API connections and AI-intensive applications.
Working alongside an AI Solutions Architect, you will act as the technical anchor for high-impact efficiency builds across a diverse portfolio of companies in hyper-compressed 4–6 week cycles. Beyond orchestrating AI agents, you will be directly engaging with clients—translating their business problems into technical architecture and guiding them through the deployment process.
Responsibilities
- Client Discovery & Consulting: Lead technical discussions with external clients and stakeholders. Translate broad business ambitions and operational bottlenecks into precise, actionable technical requirements and AI architectures.
- Agent-Assisted Integration Building: Command and collaborate with AI Skill Agents to rapidly generate robust API integrations, webhooks, and logic workflows optimized for AI-driven systems.
- Technical Leadership & Code Review: Act as the technical lead and editor for AI-generated code. Ensure all outputs meet enterprise security, error-handling, and performance standards before they hit production.
- System Connectivity & Architecture: Navigate complex SaaS ecosystems and custom backends (REST/GraphQL), using AI assistants to quickly parse API documentation and auto-generate the necessary connective middleware.
- Secure Deployment & Ownership: Take end-to-end ownership of securely deploying lightweight, AI-generated applications into production, utilizing CI/CD and modern DevOps best practices to prevent silent failures.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Job Requirements
- Senior/Team Lead Background: Proven prior experience working at a Senior Developer or Technical Team Lead level. You have a deep understanding of software architecture, technical debt, and what "production-ready" truly means.
- Client-Facing Communication: Exceptional ability to lead technical conversations with non-technical clients. You can manage stakeholder expectations, present complex solutions simply, and push back constructively when needed.
- AI-First Engineering Mindset: Proven experience deeply integrating AI into your daily development workflow. You treat AI Skill Agents (like Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Devin, or custom LLM scripts) as your junior developers.
- Integration & App Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge of backend orchestration (Python, Node.js) and API development, enabling you to effectively debug, refactor, and guide the AI's output.
- AI Fluency & Prompting: Advanced ability to write precise, context-rich prompts that force AI models to generate reliable code. Direct experience building with LLM APIs (Anthropic/Claude preferred) and agentic workflows.
- Production Discipline: A "zero-downtime" mindset. You understand that AI-generated code can be brittle, and you know how to implement robust logging, secrets management, and containerization (Docker, Serverless) to safeguard it.
- US Time Zone Alignment: Ability to work core business hours in the US Eastern Time Zone (New York) to ensure seamless real-time collaboration with US-based clients and the internal team.
- Open to travel ~ 70%
