Forward Deployed Engineer | Enterprise AI | London
I’m working with a seriously interesting AI start-up founded by ex-Palantir engineers, building a platform that lets enterprise teams describe what they need in natural language and turn that into secure, production-grade software.
They’re now growing their Forward Deployed Engineering team and looking for strong engineers who want to work directly with customers, solve difficult real-world problems and ship quickly. This is very much a “here’s the problem, figure it out and build it” type of role.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

As an FDE, you’d embed closely with customers, understand their operational challenges, rapidly design and build solutions, work across whatever systems and tech stacks are in front of you, and feed those learnings back into the core product.
They’re looking for engineers who are:
- Strong hands-on builders who can still code without the use of AI tools or LLM's
- Comfortable with ambiguity and unfamiliar environments
- Pragmatic and able to move quickly without overengineering
- Strong communicators who can work with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Motivated by solving real customer problems and seeing tangible impact

The business is still small, has recently raised approximately $50m, and is planning to grow the FDE team significantly over the next year.
They’ve also built a genuinely close-knit culture, with plenty of socials, team activities and Mario Kart in the office.
