Forward Deployed Engineer (Solutions Engineer / Sales Engineer)

Zaro is building the shared knowledge layer for enterprise AI. So that every AI assistant in an organisation inherits collective context instead of starting from zero. We have raised $5.1M from leading VCs including Cherry Ventures. We're hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer to sit at the front line: technical discovery, custom demos, and pilot delivery with enterprise buyers.

What you'll do

  • Run technical discovery with enterprise prospects and translate pain into scoped solutions.
  • Build tailored product demos and pilot environments that make buyers ask "how is this possible?"
  • Own pilot delivery end-to-end: workspace setup, data integration, API and app builds, success metrics.
  • Act as the technical counterpart to sales across the full deal cycle, from first call to signed pilot.
  • Synthesise field learnings back to product: what buyers ask for, what breaks, what wins.
  • Maintain and extend reusable demo assets, solution playbooks, and build patterns.
  • Support customer success handovers post-pilot to ensure continuity and expansion.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What we're looking for

  • 1–3 years in solutions engineering, sales engineering, pre-sales, SaaS implementation, customer-facing engineering, or a forward-deployed role.
  • Strong communicator who can hold a room with a CTO and a non-technical COO in the same hour.
  • Bias toward shipping: you'd rather build something real and show it than write a slide about it.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity, fast-moving enterprise deal cycles, and shifting priorities.
  • Able to scope a use case from a messy conversation and turn it into a working product in days, not weeks.
  • Self-directed: you own outcomes, not tasks.
