Overview
A seed-stage company building AI-native risk infrastructure for regulated enterprises is hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer based in London. The role is full-time and fully on-site, five days a week in King's Cross. Salary is £100,000 to £130,000, plus meaningful EMI-eligible equity. This role exists because the business is winning large, multi-year enterprise contracts and needs someone who can own those relationships completely, from adoption through renewal, while also getting hands-on with the platform itself. You will be sitting across the table from CSOs, VPs of Risk, and compliance heads one hour, and shipping a UI fix or configuring a workflow the next. The people who thrive here hold both tracks at once without defaulting to one: genuinely commercially sharp, genuinely technical, and comfortable being the single point of accountability when something is on fire. You will partner directly with the CTO and have a real hand in shaping how this function develops at a company that hit seven-figure revenue within months of launch.
Key Responsibilities
- Own strategic accounts end-to-end: adoption, expansion, and renewal
- Run weekly working sessions with senior stakeholders, drive the agenda, and close the loop
- Configure the platform to fit each customer's specific workflows and requirements
- Manage the async cadence: emails, follow-ups, status updates, and internal escalations
- Translate customer needs into prioritised product feedback that directly influences the roadmap
- Hold your own in procurement, security review, and contract conversations
- Ship code using Claude Code when a customer needs a UI fix, a small feature, or a bug resolved

Requirements
Must-haves
- 2 to 5 years of experience doing something hard and demonstrably impressive
- Genuine commercial track record: accounts owned, deals negotiated, or customer outcomes you can point to
- Comfort being the single point of accountability when something is on fire
- Based in London or willing to commute for a fully on-site role
Nice-to-haves
- Solutions architect, deployment strategist, or customer engineer background at a technical enterprise company
- Experience at a Series A or B enterprise startup, particularly in GRC, cyber, or legal tech
- Background in risk, compliance, cybersecurity, or financial services
- Hands-on development experience with TypeScript, Node.js, React, or Postgres
- Entrepreneurial signals: a failed startup, a serious side project, or a founding-team role
What Success Looks Like
- A dozen-plus accounts running smoothly with strong adoption and clear renewal trajectories within the first six months
- Customer stakeholders treat you as their trusted counterpart, not a vendor contact
- Product feedback you surface is specific and well-framed enough to actually move the roadmap
- Shipping small features and fixes independently using Claude Code by month three, without needing to pull in engineering support

Challenges

- You will own a dozen-plus accounts at any given time, which means managing competing priorities and knowing when to escalate without losing the thread on any single relationship.
- This is a seed-stage company, so the processes, playbooks, and tooling are still being built. You will be shaping them as much as following them.
