Forward Deployed Engineer | London | £100k–£175k + Equity
This is one of the most interesting Forward Deployed Engineering opportunities I’ve seen in London.
We’re working with a heavily funded, early-stage Enterprise AI company building a platform designed to solve complex operational problems inside some of the world’s largest organisations.
They’re now looking for 2–3 exceptional Forward Deployed Engineers to join a small, highly technical team.
This is not Solutions Engineering.
It’s not pre-sales.
And it’s definitely not a role where you design something and hand it to another engineering team to build.
You’ll sit directly with enterprise customers, understand difficult real-world problems, design the solution and personally ship production software - Sometimes within days.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You’ll move between software engineering, systems architecture, AI and customer problem-solving, with what you learn in the field feeding directly back into the core product.
The profile
You’ll likely have 1–5 years’ experience and already be an excellent software engineer.
We’re particularly interested in people who have:
- Built and shipped production software in customer-facing or startup environments
- Strong Python / TypeScript / full-stack engineering capability
- Excellent systems design and architecture fundamentals
- Experience with modern AI/LLM tooling
- The ability to operate comfortably with senior enterprise customers
- A genuine problem-first mentality rather than attachment to a particular technology
