Forward Deployed Engineer
đź“Ť Location: London hybrid, 2-3 days a week onsite
đź’¸ Salary: ÂŁ90k- ÂŁ110k
We’re working with a fast-growing technology company transforming how the specialty insurance market operates.
The business builds modern technology for brokers and insurers, helping automate complex processes, structure data and enable faster, more efficient digital trading. Following a recent funding round, they’re continuing to scale their product and customer base.
They’re now looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to sit at the intersection of engineering, product, commercial and client success.
You’ll be:
- Working with prospective and existing clients to understand their business and technical requirements
- Translating those requirements into practical technical solutions
- Building, configuring and delivering insurance products across areas such as marine, aviation and political violence
- Working closely with Engineering, Product and Commercial teams to design and deliver solutions
- Developing a deep understanding of the platform and advising clients on how to get the most from it
- Demonstrating the value of the technology to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Building and managing platform integrations
- Providing ongoing technical support and helping improve processes as the product and customer base grows

You’ll ideally have:
- Strong programming fundamentals
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- A solutions-focused mindset and an interest in improving how things are done
- The ability to learn new technology and domains quickly
- Comfort working in a fast-moving scale-up where requirements can change
- A collaborative approach and strong attention to product quality
- Experience in insurance, insurtech or a related industry would be particularly useful, but isn’t essential.
