Become a foster carer with Action for Children and we’ll support you every step of the way with a professional fee up to £840 a week, excellent training and 24/7 support.
Who Can Foster?
Almost anyone can foster. If you are 21 or over, are a permanent resident in the UK and have a spare room, the chances are you can be a foster carer.
Action for Children foster carers come from all walks of life - caring people who can give a child in need their time, attention, affection and a safe, nurturing place to call home.

- A professional fee and allowances up to £840 a week
- We'll be there for you with 24/7 support
- Small case loads - our foster family to Supervising Social worker ratio is 6:1
- 28 days earned leave
- Quality training all year round
You might not have all the experience needed, but we’ll equip you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to provide a loving and safe home for a child in need.
