Fostering Team Manager – Outstanding Ofsted

Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum

Location: Berkshire

NonStop Consulting is working with a well-established Independent Fostering Agency with an Outstanding Ofsted rating in the Berkshire area, to assist them in finding an experienced Fostering Team Manager.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a very stable service with an impressive staff retention rate. Managers stay with the organisation for an average of around 10 years, and there are currently no locum staff across the service nationally.

Key Responsibilities

As the Fostering Team Manager, you will lead an established team of approximately 8 staff, including 2 Senior Supervising Social Workers and an Assistant Team Manager.

  • The team supports around 70 fostering households and 80 children.
  • You will manage and allocate work, monitor performance, and maintain high standards of practice across the team.
  • You will also provide direct support to Supervising Social Workers, helping to guide and develop their practice while ensuring a high-quality fostering service is delivered to children, young people, and foster carers.

This is an office-based position in Berkshire.

Requirements

  • Qualified Social Worker
  • Social Work England registration
  • Fostering management experience
  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and fostering practice
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car
  • Ability to work flexibly when required
