Role: Lead Coach – Under 8s (Advanced Pathway)

Locations: Training in North West London | Matches in North London

Pay: Highly Competitive (dependent on experience & qualifications)

Hours: Part-time (Midweek training evening + Sunday Training & Saturday matchday), with clear scope for additional hours across our development programmes.

About the Role

We are seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking coach to lead our talented Under-8 squad. This is a high-ability, technically advanced group preparing for competitive match play within leading junior grassroots leagues across North London.

You will be responsible for planning and delivering high-intensity, engaging training sessions focused on technical mastery, decision-making, and age-appropriate tactical awareness, while managing the squad on matchdays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver weekly training sessions in North West London focused on individual player development and small-group tactics.
  • Manage and coach the squad during weekend competitive matches in North London.
  • Cultivate a positive, high-standard environment that balances elite player development with enjoyment.
  • Provide constructive individual and team feedback to players and maintain professional communication with parents.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • FA Level 2 / UEFA C Licence (minimum); UEFA B is advantageous.

Compliance:

  • Valid Enhanced DBS check, FA Safeguarding Children, and First Aid in Football certifications.

Experience:

  • Proven track record coaching advanced foundation-phase players (U7–U9) in an academy, pre-academy, or high-tier grassroots setting.
