Founder in Residence (FIR)
Build your startup with 16VC.
16VC is a global founder-first venture platform backing exceptional early-stage founders across AI, SaaS, FinTech, DeepTech, and emerging technologies.
Our Founder in Residence (FIR) program is designed for ambitious builders who are committed to turning bold ideas into venture-scale companies. As a Founder in Residence, you'll build alongside the 16VC team, gaining strategic support, access to our founder network, product guidance, and investor insights while developing your company.
This is not employment—it is a venture-building residency for founders.
What You'll Do
As a Founder in Residence, you will:
- Develop and refine your startup vision and venture thesis.
- Validate customer problems and market opportunities.
- Build and iterate your product or MVP.
- Engage with customers and test your go-to-market strategy.
- Work closely with the 16VC team through regular founder reviews and strategic sessions.
- Build momentum toward fundraising and company launch.

Who Should Apply
We're looking for founders who are:
- Building in AI, SaaS, FinTech, DeepTech, or frontier technologies.
- First-time or experienced entrepreneurs.
- Strong operators with deep domain expertise.
- Highly resourceful, execution-focused, and founder-minded.
- Passionate about building venture-scale companies.
You do not need a co-founder to apply.
Commitment
The Founder in Residence program is designed to be flexible for active builders. Founders are expected to dedicate consistent time to building their company and participate in regular strategy reviews and founder sessions with the 16VC team.
