Paid Internship

Fixed Term £3,200 for 12 weeks

We are looking to hire a Founders Associate to help ignite our next stage of growth.


MyPocketSkill is an AI-empowered award-winning platform, helping Gen Z's to become more financially capable & employable. We connect 13-25 year-olds with opportunities to earn and provide AI assisted upskilling, learning & financial education.

This is a varied and exciting role, which would serve as an excellent launchpad for your career and involves working closely with the founders and across the organisation, intensively problem solving and removing barriers for things to happen. Responsibilities span research, analytics, operations, community, projects and content. We are looking for a positive self-starter, who is focused on outcomes, be proactive and is equally happy to delve into in-depth research on youth policy, reach out and engage positively and enthusiastically with our community, attend events with our key stakeholders and work on platform analytics.

  • Using evidence-based knowledge to support young people, engagement/delivery and product development

Content

  • Reviewing and updating our impact reports
  • Email marketing
  • Long-form content, including blogs, articles and reports
  • Short-form content, including posting and commissioning across different social media platforms

Impact, research & analysis

  • Impact reporting
  • Working with stakeholders to advise, evaluate, benchmarking and support the formation of youth policy. Examples of past projects include working with DCMS (Department for Culture Media and Sports) on youth policy, Office for Students on access & participation, DfE on placements of T-levels. You would be also expected to work on contract bids as part of this stream.

Analytics & Tech

  • You will help us to extract and analyse the information on our platform and update and keep an eye on our KPIs

Operations

  • Deeper problem solving to deal with platform issues requiring intervention, such as customer complaints & payments issues
  • Coordinating delivery for some of our key existing and new projects (e.g. we currently work with High Street Banks and Grant awarders)

The Ideal Candidate Would Have The Following

  • Flexible, positive, self-starter, proactive approach in a fast-paced environment
  • A mix of process and analytical skills
  • No project is too small or too big
  • Strong organisational & time management skills with can-do attitude
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Reliable and consistent with strong follow-through
  • Curious (v. important), always looking for ways to improve systems and processes
  • Team player, working collaboratively but also comfortable owning tasks
  • Solid research skills and an ability to conduct analysis (of policy issues, KPIs etc)
  • Completed your degree and able to demonstrate achievement either in academics or outside
