Founder's Associate
Altrincham Town Centre | £30,000 + Bonus | Growing Startup
Ready to get out of a traditional role and have a genuine impact on a growing business?
We're working with an ambitious, fast-growing startup based in the heart of Altrincham town centre, and they're looking for a Founder's Associate to work closely with the founder and play a key role in the next stage of the company's growth.
This is not a traditional 9-5 role where you'll be given a fixed list of responsibilities.
You'll be working across strategy, operations, competitor analysis and projects, helping the founder make decisions, identify opportunities and turn ideas into action.
The business currently has around 10 employees, with ambitious plans to grow to 55+ people over the next few years. You'll have the opportunity to grow alongside the business, take on increasing responsibility and see the direct impact of your work.
What will you be doing?
- Working closely with the founder across a variety of strategic and operational projects
- Conducting competitor analysis and market research to identify opportunities and threats
- Supporting the development and implementation of business strategy
- Taking ownership of projects from initial idea through to completion
- Analysing business performance and identifying areas for improvement
- Looking at processes and operations and finding ways to make the business more efficient
- Helping identify new opportunities for growth
- Working across different areas of the business rather than being restricted to one function
- Preparing research, analysis and recommendations for the founder
- Helping build and implement new processes as the company scales
- Getting involved in recruitment, team structure and wider business development as the organisation grows
- Being the person who gets things done - taking an idea and turning it into reality

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
