As a Founder Associate (Operations), you’ll be involved in a wide range of strategic and operational initiatives across The Ortus Club. You’ll be working closely with our co-founders in Rome, learning how they approach business strategy, decision-making, and day-to-day operations.

This is an opportunity for someone who is naturally curious, proactive, and resourceful, and who wants to build a broad understanding of business rather than being confined to a single function. Along the way, you’ll be exposed to different areas of the organisation, develop new skills, and gain clarity on where you can make the greatest impact as you grow within the business.

Responsibilities:

• Founder's Associate: Work closely with our founders and managing partners, gaining first-hand insight into how they approach strategy, decision-making, business development, and organisational priorities.
• Strategy Contributor: Participate in strategic discussions, research initiatives, and business projects, helping turn ideas and priorities into actionable plans.
• Operations Explorer: Gain hands-on experience across different areas of our operations, learning how teams, processes, and systems work together to support the wider business.
• Problem Solver: Identify operational challenges, investigate their root causes, and work with relevant teams to develop practical and effective solutions.
• Project Contributor: Support strategic and operational projects from planning through execution, helping ensure that initiatives move forward and deliver their intended outcomes.
• Process Improver: Identify opportunities to improve workflows, systems, and ways of working, and support the implementation of more efficient processes.
• Cross-Functional Partner: Collaborate with different teams across The Ortus Club, developing an understanding of how different functions contribute to the organisation's overall success.
• Business Support: Assist the founders and operations team with business-related activities, research, analysis, coordination, and other priorities as needed.
• Learning & Development: Learn directly from experienced leaders and team members while continuously developing your business, analytical, interpersonal, and operational skill set.
• International Exposure: Work across our Rome and Manila offices, gaining first-hand experience working within a multicultural and international organisation.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated eagerness to learn through mentorship, hands-on experience, and exposure to different areas of the business.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to understand complex situations and develop practical solutions.
• Naturally proactive, curious, resourceful, and adaptable, with the confidence to take initiative while knowing when to ask for guidance.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with founders, senior stakeholders, and different teams.
• Comfortable contributing to high-level strategic discussions while also getting involved in detailed, day-to-day operational work.
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
• Strong proficiency in Google Sheets, with the ability to organize, analyze, and work with data effectively.
• Passion for knowledge sharing, business operations, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
• Genuine interest in travel, international business, and experiencing different cultures.
• Previous experience in operations, project management, business analysis, consulting, entrepreneurship, or a similar environment is a plus, but not required.
