Founding Account Executive | AI, Identity, KYC & RegTech SaaS

Location: Remote (UK) | London office for collaboration as required

Salary: £75,000 to £90,000 Base + Uncapped Commission (Double OTE) + Equity

The Opportunity

We're exclusively partnering with one of the UK's most exciting early stage AI start-ups as they hire their Founding Account Executive.

Backed by leading investors and already working with some of the fastest growing financial technology businesses in Europe, the company is entering an exciting phase of growth. This is a rare opportunity to become the first dedicated sales hire, working directly alongside the founders to build a scalable enterprise sales function from the ground up.

This isn't a role where you'll inherit a playbook. You'll help create it. From refining the ideal customer profile and testing new go to market strategies to influencing product direction, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the business.

The Role

As the Founding Account Executive, you'll own the complete enterprise sales cycle, targeting enterprise financial services organisations, fintechs, banks and other regulated businesses.

Working closely with the CEO, you'll lead highly consultative sales engagements with senior stakeholders, helping organisations solve complex compliance, onboarding and identity challenges through an innovative AI-powered platform.

Success in this role requires someone who enjoys building relationships, challenging customer thinking, developing commercial business cases and helping define how an early stage company wins in the enterprise market.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the full enterprise sales cycle from prospecting through to negotiation and close.
  • Build relationships with C-suite executives and senior stakeholders across Compliance, Risk, Fraud, Operations, Product and Technology.
  • Lead consultative discovery sessions focused on understanding commercial challenges and business objectives.
  • Develop compelling ROI models, commercial proposals and executive-level presentations.
  • Partner directly with the CEO to refine the ideal customer profile, messaging and go to market strategy.
  • Test new outbound channels and sales approaches, using data to continually improve performance.
  • Work closely with Product and Engineering, sharing market insight to influence future product development.
  • Help build scalable sales processes, playbooks and best practices as the commercial team grows.

What We're Looking For

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in an early stage start-up and enjoys building from zero to one.

You'll ideally have:

  • Experience as a Founding Account Executive or early commercial hire within a Seed or Series A SaaS business.
  • A proven track record of closing complex enterprise SaaS opportunities.
  • Experience selling Identity Verification (IDV), KYC, KYB or AML solutions into financial services organisations.
  • Strong experience selling into banks, fintechs, payment providers, lenders, insurance companies or other regulated financial institutions.
  • Experience shaping GTM strategy, refining messaging and testing new sales channels.
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop ROI models and business cases.
  • Exceptional communication skills with confidence presenting to C-suite executives.
  • A consultative sales approach focused on solving business problems and creating measurable value.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset with resilience, ownership and adaptability.

Ideal Background

We're particularly interested in candidates who have sold:

  • Identity Verification (IDV) platforms.
  • KYC, KYB or AML software.
  • Fraud prevention, compliance or RegTech solutions.
  • Enterprise SaaS into financial services and other regulated industries.

Previous experience within a high-growth start-up environment is highly desirable. This role is best suited to someone who has helped build a commercial function rather than joining an already established sales organisation.

Why Join?

  • Be the first dedicated sales hire in a rapidly scaling AI business.
  • Work directly with the founders and influence commercial strategy from day one.
  • Shape the GTM function and play a key role in the company's long-term success.
  • £75,000 to £90,000 base salary.
  • Uncapped commission with realistic double OTE.
  • Meaningful equity package with the opportunity to share in the company's future growth.
  • Remote-first working with access to the London office for collaboration.
  • Join an ambitious, well-funded AI start-up solving mission-critical compliance and identity challenges for enterprise financial services customers.
