Founding Account Executive — Agentic GRC & Security (Confidential)

Why Join Now
This is the rare moment where the traction is already real but the commercial team barely exists yet — so the upside sits with the first person in the seat.
- A three-person team took this business from zero to £1M+ ARR in around nine months, selling six-figure deals to enterprise logos in financial services, insurance and regulated tech (recent deals landing at £150k–£350k in year one).
- It's backed by top-tier UK and US funds plus a set of standout angels, with a Series A on the horizon and a credible plan to roughly 3x revenue over the next year or so.
Here's the opportunity: the founder — ex-Palantir, where he ran security and compliance on some of their largest deals — is currently closing on his own. There's warm pipeline, a stack of investor introductions and a live target list sitting unworked because there's nobody yet to run it. You'd be the first dedicated seller, converting that momentum into signed revenue from day one, with founding equity and a path to owning your own book within six months.
If you want to be the commercial DNA of a fast-scaling company at exactly the inflection point where that matters most, this is the one.
What the Company Does
It's the agentic GRC and security platform — agents do the assurance work so that people can make the decisions. AI agents handle the gathering, screening and first-pass assessment of risk, security and compliance work, so the customer's team moves straight to the decision instead of drowning in data collection. The old bottleneck — expert human time to collect evidence, write assessments and produce reports — is disappearing, so comprehensive coverage now arrives at a fraction of the traditional cost.
One platform across three areas: a company's own systems and controls, its third parties (suppliers, partners, acquisitions), and its AI agents — all assessed and monitored continuously. Every output is evidenced and glass-box, defensible to a regulator or an Audit Committee. It's early proof done right: ~1,250 entities assessed in five days for a regulated insurer; a $50B+ fund running its portfolio-cyber programme on the platform; a listed tech company adopting it as its system of record.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The Role
This is the company's first dedicated commercial hire, sitting directly beside the founder and owning the full enterprise sales motion end to end. You'll work the warm pipeline and investor introductions, self-source net-new, and run complex, multi-stakeholder deals through to signature. There's no SDR and no inbound engine — there is a real playbook and tooling (Sales Navigator, Apollo), but you're not walking into a built-out machine. You'll learn the product and the space fast and start owning your own deals within about six months.
This is a 0-to-1 seat for someone who thrives without infrastructure and wants founding equity and a five-year journey that ends somewhere significant.
What You'll Do
- Own the full enterprise sales cycle — self-sourced outbound through to contract signature, no hand-offs
- Convert the founder's warm relationships, investor introductions and target list into closed business
- Sell to CISOs, Heads of GRC / Third-Party Risk, CROs and Audit & Risk leaders at regulated financial-services and technology enterprises
- Run the use-case-led motion: demo on the prospect's own use case → scope a pilot → deliver a first reviewable outcome from their real data in 5–7 days → build the business case against their current spend
- Own pipeline and CRM with rigour, and extend the playbook — sequences, personas, account plans — so there's something to hand over as the team grows
What We're Looking For
Must-haves
- Proven enterprise AE — you've owned and closed complex, multi-stakeholder software deals, with the numbers to prove it
- A true builder: you self-source, you'll pick up the phone, and you close with limited infrastructure
- Sold to CISO / GRC / vendor-risk / compliance / risk buyers — or clear evidence you've learned a brand-new technical space fast and can do it again here
- Comfortable in genuine 0-to-1 — a founding/early AE before, or clear proof you thrive without a safety net
- London-based and able to be in the Kings Cross office ~3 days per week

Strong differentiators
- Trained somewhere with a great sales culture (e.g. a MongoDB-type org) where you performed — and who then also delivered somewhere harder or scrappier, not just riding a strong system or heavy marketing spend
- Background at a GRC / TPRM / security-trust / risk vendor (e.g. Bitsight, SecurityScorecard, OneTrust, ProcessUnity, Archer, AuditBoard) or in risk/cyber consulting
- Strong multi-threader — you reach the most senior person in the room and translate a technical security/compliance conversation into a board- and regulator-level business case as deal size grows
This role is not for you if:
- You need an SDR team, inbound or a full enablement programme to hit your number
- You want a defined territory and a built-out system before you start
- You've only ever sold inside very large companies with heavy support around you
- You're looking for your next corporate AE seat, not your next chapter
Interview Process
- Intro call with the founder (30–45 min)
- Call with an external GTM advisor / investor who has built sales teams before (30–45 min)
- On-site in London + a short work exercise (a couple of hours)
- Offer typically within 1–2 days

Start: as soon as possible
