Founding Account Executive at Effra

📍Shoreditch, London (in office) | Full-time

Effra is hiring its first dedicated salesperson.

We're ex-GoCardless product builders who left to fix how private healthcare gets paid. Our software automates billing for physio clinics, multi-practitioner practices, and hospitals: invoice submission, remittance processing, and patient payment collection. Clinics using Effra see payment times drop from around 53 days to 13, and revenue rise about 3.4% just from cutting billing errors.

We've built a product clinics love, with over 70 customers behind it. Founder-led selling got us here.

Now we want someone to take the wheel and double our revenue.

THE ROLE

You'll own the full sales cycle: discovery, demo, follow-up, close. Most of our deals are SMB with short cycles, one or two touch points, and a first conversation to signed contract inside a month. The real skill is keeping a lot of them moving at once and stacking them up to hit the number.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

We're also starting to chase bigger deals. Our founder stays in the room for those, adding credibility and going deep, while you drive the process, map stakeholders, and apply the frameworks that get them over the line.

This is not a senior enterprise AE role with a ten-person buying committee and a mature playbook to run. You'll be defining a good part of the playbook as you go.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Own the sales cycle end to end, from first conversation to signed deal
  • Own your pipeline and be accountable for your revenue target
  • Run discovery, demos, follow-up, and closing yourself
  • Bring structure to how deals get qualified, progressed, and closed
  • Help build a repeatable, predictable sales motion as we scale

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Strong at running sales cycles, not just prospecting them
  • Commercially sharp: you get to the heart of a prospect's problem fast and map it to what we do
  • Comfortable managing high-volume, fast-moving SMB deals and keeping the number building
  • Curious and collaborative in customer conversations: you ask and listen, you don't just pitch
  • Strong follow-through: you keep deals moving and hold yourself accountable
  • Energised by early-stage, where the role, process, and product keep evolving. A "first-boots" mentality, not just tolerance for ambiguity

Healthcare or physio sector experience is a bonus, not a requirement. We care far more about how you sell than who you already know.

HOW WE WORK

Low ego, high impact. Our co-founders don't have titles. Everyone gets hands-on, and we're allergic to work about the work: if a task doesn't clearly drive impact, we don't do it. If you want to build something real and see the direct results of your own selling, this is a good place to do it.
