Founding Account Manager – InsurTech
London | Office-based £75,000–£135,000 Base + 70/30 OTE + Equity
We’re hiring a Founding Account Manager for a high-growth technology business transforming how insurers manage claims.
The business combines an in-house claims operation with an AI-enabled platform, allowing insurance businesses to outsource claims end-to-end while improving claims speed, service, and operational efficiency.
As one of the first hires into the Account Management function, you’ll own customer relationships across the full lifecycle – onboarding, implementation, go-live, ongoing management, renewals, and expansion.
The Role
- Taking ownership of new customers following the initial sale
- Leading onboarding and building the implementation plan for each account
- Managing implementation timelines and ensuring customers successfully reach go-live
- Acting as the primary point of contact throughout the customer relationship
- Managing relationships with senior and executive-level stakeholders
- Coordinating internal Claims, Operations, and Product teams to deliver against customer requirements
- Establishing account plans, success metrics, SLAs, and escalation processes
- Running regular customer reviews and executive updates
- Monitoring account performance and identifying potential risks before they become larger issues
- Managing customer escalations and coordinating internal teams to resolve problems quickly
- Owning retention and supporting commercial renewal conversations
- Identifying opportunities to expand existing customers across additional insurance programmes, regions, lines of business, and claims volume
- Building the commercial case for expansion and taking opportunities through to close
- Understanding how customers are using the service and identifying areas where additional value can be delivered
- Feeding customer requirements and insights back into Product and Operations
- Working directly with the CEO on strategic customer relationships
- Building repeatable onboarding, implementation, and Account Management processes
- Creating playbooks, templates, and routines that can be used as the customer base grows

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
