Ratel Sentinel
Ratel Sentinel is a London-based door security startup supplying SIA-licensed door supervisors to pubs, venues, corporate sites, sports facilities, and residential developments. We're moving beyond one-off shift cover toward long-term contracts — and we're building the founding team to get us there.
The Role
We're looking for a driven Business Development Manager to join as a founding team member and lead client acquisition. You'll own the full sales cycle — from prospecting pub, venue, and corporate clients through to closing long-term security contracts.
What you'll do
- Identify and pursue new business across pubs, venues, corporate, sports, and residential sectors
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospective clients in London
- Pitch and negotiate long-term security contracts (not just one-off cover)
- Represent Ratel Sentinel at client meetings and industry events
- Work directly with the founder to shape go-to-market strategy as we scale

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What we're looking for
- Proven B2B sales or business development experience (security, facilities, hospitality, or similar service industries a plus)
- Confident communicator who can build relationships and close deals
- Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable in an early-stage, fast-moving environment
- Based in or around London
This is a performance-based role with real recurring income, calculated on gross contract revenue (not profit) — so your earnings aren't affected by internal company costs:
- 4–8% of total monthly contract revenue for every client you bring in, for the first 12 months
- 2–4% of total monthly contract revenue from year two onwards, for as long as the client stays
