BASELINE is an independent technology media platform exploring how AI and emerging technologies are transforming business, infrastructure, work, and society. With over 140,000 YouTube subscribers, 3 million views, and more than 100 in-depth interviews with founders, executives, and technology leaders, BASELINE is now developing its next stage of growth, expanding its commercial partnerships, advertising revenue, and professional community.
Role Description
We’re looking for an entrepreneurial Founding Commercial & Audience Lead to help build BASELINE into a sustainable media business. Working directly with the founder, you’ll develop and sell advertising and sponsorship opportunities, build relationships with technology brands, and create recurring commercial revenue. You’ll also help grow an engaged professional audience, develop community initiatives, and explore new media formats and distribution partnerships.

The immediate priority is securing advertising and sponsorship revenue, including programme sponsorships, on-screen branding, sponsored segments, and longer-term commercial partnerships.
This is a hands-on commercial role with significant freedom to shape the business.
Qualifications
We’re looking for someone with proven experience in advertising sales, sponsorships, media partnerships, or commercial growth. You’ll have a track record of identifying opportunities, building relationships, and closing deals, ideally within digital media, technology publications, podcasts, or creator-led businesses. Experience in audience development, community building, and digital media monetisation is highly desirable.

Compensation & Opportunity
Initially a flexible or fractional engagement, with an agreed retainer and performance-related commission on revenue generated.
The opportunity to expand the role as BASELINE’s commercial business develops.
