Founding Curator at Igodo

Build your own community and grow your network around the things you love, with the costs covered. Volunteering, London.

About Igodo

Igodo is a London app for small, curated in-person gatherings called connects. Three to six compatible people, one good plan, real life. No feeds, no swiping, no engagement tricks. We measure ourselves on one thing: whether people meet again. We launched this summer on the App Store and Google Play and we are building the founding community by hand.

The idea

Making friends as an adult in this city has become genuinely hard. Igodo exists to fix that, and it only works because real people run real gatherings: a Sunday writing table by the water, a gallery hop, a film night, a walk that ends in coffee. We're looking for a small founding group of curators to help build that from the start.

What you might do

  • Run connects around what you already love, choosing the plan and setting the room
  • Welcome people by name and hold the small rituals that make a gathering feel easy
  • Capture a little of it in photos or short video, with everyone's consent, if you enjoy that
  • Tell people about your connects in your own voice, one person at a time
  • Help shape how Igodo works by telling the founder honestly what worked and what didn't

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Who this suits

You live in London and you go to things: markets, galleries, screenings, book clubs, runs. You're warm in person and strangers relax around you. You have something you love enough to share, and you'd like to meet people who love it too. Students, recent graduates, people between things, people with full-time jobs and a free Sunday: all welcome.

Compensation

This is a volunteering opportunity, so there is no salary. What you get instead is valuable to the right person:

  • Your own costs at the connects you run covered: your ticket, your coffee, materials, travel to and from
  • Your own recurring community, built around your interests, with you as its host
  • Real experience running gatherings, growing a group and working directly with an early stage founder, with a reference to match
  • A network that grows one room at a time, joiners, other curators and the people they bring
  • First look at new features and a say in what we build next

How it works

This is volunteering, not a job. There are no set hours, no minimum commitment and no targets. You run a connect when you want to and step back whenever life needs you to, no questions asked. Igodo reimburses your own actual costs at the connects you run, on receipts. You work directly with the founder and you'll never be the only one in the room while you find your feet.

How to join

Apply here, or email hello@igodo.app with your name, where in London you're based, your Instagram handle and a few lines on the kind of connect you'd love to run. If you've been to a connect, tell us. More at igodo.app/curate.
