About the Role:
This is a foundational role for an entrepreneurial and commercially-minded individual ready to be the first Founding Deployments Engineer. You will be instrumental in defining, strategising, and driving the adoption of AI within midmarket businesses. This position is perfect for someone who thrives on solving complex, ambiguous problems for senior stakeholders, possesses a strong commercial acumen, and is passionate about translating AI capabilities into tangible business value. You will work hand-in-hand with Forward Deployed Engineers, embedding within client operations pre-deal closure to define value cases and deployment strategies, ultimately writing the playbook for future strategists.

Responsibilities:
- Define problem statements, articulate clear value cases, and craft robust deployment strategies for AI solutions at client sites.
- Embed deeply within client organisations to understand operational nuances and identify champions and potential resistance.
- Drive commercial ownership, ensuring value cases are quantitatively scoped and engagements are successfully delivered.
- Guide clients through the adoption journey, defining and delivering measurable outcomes for AI deployments.
- Leverage active AI fluency to engage credibly in build conversations and prototype initial solutions.
- Design and document the strategic playbook for future Deployments Engineers within the firm.
- Operate with low ego, delivering both glamorous and unglamorous work to ship impactful solutions to external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Proven ability in structured thinking to navigate and solve highly ambiguous business challenges.
- Demonstrated executive presence, capable of influencing and engaging senior stakeholders effectively.
- Strong commercial acumen, having owned value cases with real numbers and successfully carried engagements to close.
- Active AI fluency, including hands-on experience with AI tools and well-reasoned opinions on model capabilities.
- Expertise in political mapping, identifying champions, naming resistance, and navigating complex organisational structures.
- Track record of shipping impactful solutions to external stakeholders, coupled with a low-ego approach to work.
- Experience in top-tier consulting with delivery ownership, founder/chief-of-staff roles at high-growth startups, or deployment strategy at similar companies.
