About Fundflow

Fundflow is building the first AI-native investment bank for the innovation economy. Founded by Goldman alumni, we combine vast deal experience with AI-first execution to deliver best-in-class capital market services to the tech ecosystem.

Where digital banks redefined retail banking for good, investment banking has barely evolved. Wall Street still runs on armies of analysts and PowerPoints to deliver a service that is slow, costly, and outdated - keeping great advice out of reach for most founders.

Our mission is to change this.

Purpose-built from real deal experience, our AI platform automates the manual work in credit advisory and turns deal data into actionable intelligence. This enables our bankers to deliver smarter advice, faster execution, and better outcomes for our clients.

And it's working. Fundflow has already raised over $1Bn in private credit for startups - from $10M venture debt rounds to $200M pre-IPO facilities - establishing Fundflow as a trusted partner to founders and lenders alike. We're now growing our investment banking team to scale this impact across Europe.

Job description

We're looking for an exceptional engineer who wants to drag an archaic industry into the AI era - side by side with the bankers who live it every day.

As our Founding Engineer, you'll be Fundflow's first dedicated engineering hire, working directly with the founders to build the platform our bankers run deals on. The engineering function is yours to create: what we build, how we build it, and the standards we build it to. The founders set the direction - you own everything from there, acting as your own product manager from idea to production.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Your users sit ten feet away, work on live transactions, and will tell you within hours whether what you shipped made their deal faster. Come build the future of investment banking with us!

What you will do

  • Build side by side with our bankers. This is an in-house forward-deployed engineer role in all but name: sit with the deal team, find where a live transaction slows down, and own the fix from idea to deployment - shipped today, used on a live deal tomorrow.
  • Build across the entire stack. You will work across frontend, backend, and data as one product.
  • Put AI to work on real deals. Design and ship AI-powered workflows where models handle the grunt work and bankers apply judgment - then measure whether it actually made deals faster.
  • Set up the engineering function. Tooling, standards, culture, and how we ship: you'll define them from the ground up, not inherit them.

What we are looking for

  • Building Experience: 2+ years building and shipping production software - ideally in TypeScript - that real users depend on.
  • Generalist Range: You love building across the stack and pick up whatever the next most important problem needs.
  • Product Sense: Comfortable in ambiguous, unstructured startup environments - given direction, you act as your own product manager and make good calls without a spec.
  • AI-Native Instincts: Hands-on experience building with LLMs, and strong opinions about where they work and where they don't. Finance experience is a bonus, not a requirement.
