About Toutix

Toutix is building the fan-data intelligence layer for live events. Today, ticketing platforms often own the fan relationship, rather than the clubs, venues and promoters creating the experience. We are changing that with one platform combining white-label ticketing, a Fan Passport identity layer, a Fan CRM and Fan Oracle, an AI surface that turns fan data into decisions.

We are venture-backed, very early, and hiring our first engineer.

The Role

You will be Engineer #1, working side by side with the CTO to architect and build the core platform from scratch.

This is a 100% hands-on individual contributor role with no direct reports. Your impact is measured by what you ship.

You will help choose the stack, set engineering standards and shape the technical culture that every future hire joins.

The hard problems are concrete: on-sale spikes where tens of thousands of fans hit "buy" at the same time, real-time inventory locking, multi-tenant data isolation, idempotent payment flows and real-time data pipelines feeding an AI layer.

What You Will Own

  • Core platform architecture, including reliability, observability, concurrency and disaster recovery
  • Multi-tenant SaaS architecture with strict data isolation between clients
  • Capacity planning, load testing and queue-based designs for spike-driven traffic
  • Cloud infrastructure on AWS, CI/CD and production on-call for what you build
  • Data pipelines that ingest, transform and serve real-time signals to Fan Oracle

What We Are Looking For

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Systems architect

You have designed and built production systems that handled real traffic spikes and contended state. You think about failure modes, bottlenecks and capacity before they become problems. You can point to an outage or major failure you owned and explain what architectural changes you made afterward.

Early-stage builder

You have shipped products from idea to production independently, without needing a detailed spec or task list, and owned the outcome. Experience as an early engineer at a company that later scaled is a strong plus.

Transactional domain experience

You have built high-concurrency, high-throughput systems where inventory contention, idempotency and low latency matter. Relevant backgrounds include payments, fintech, ticketing, marketplaces, betting, booking or similar transactional systems. Broad payments or fintech experience is preferred over experience limited to a single asset class.

AI-native workflow

AI coding agents are already part of how you design, build and debug, not something you are experimenting with occasionally. Experience building model-serving infrastructure or execution rails for agents in production is a bonus.

Hands-on trajectory

You want to keep building rather than move away from engineering into people management, and you are excited by the level of ownership that comes with joining at a very early stage.

What We Offer

  • Very competitive London salary and founding equity
  • Ownership of the stack, architecture and engineering standards
  • The opportunity to build industry-defining products in a market that has changed very little in twenty years
  • Hard technical problems every day, including on-sale spikes, inventory contention, multi-tenancy and real-time AI pipelines
  • Direct partnership with the CTO, with no layers between you and the technical decisions
  • Your work in front of real clubs, venues and fans within weeks
  • A path into technical leadership as the engineering team grows around you

Please Do Not Apply If

  • You want stability, predictability or routine
  • You do not take pride in your work
  • You do not enjoy solving hard problems
  • You need to be told what to do next
  • You measure your career primarily by title or headcount
  • You are not curious about new tools and ways of working, including AI
  • You consider the job finished when the task is closed rather than when the underlying problem is solved

How We Hire

Our process is straightforward:

  1. A short introductory call with the CTO
  2. A technical deep-dive into systems you have built
  3. A practical architecture session based on a real Toutix problem
  4. A final conversation focused on mutual fit

We move quickly and provide feedback at every stage.

Toutix is an equal opportunity employer. We make hiring decisions based on skills, experience and fit for the role, and we welcome applicants from all backgrounds.
