Job Description

As a Founding Engineer at Romeai, you will build the technical foundation for a real-time system of record powering global logistics. Working directly with the founders in an 8-person team, you’ll ship end-to-end products that solve massive data silos for the world’s largest companies, moving quickly from idea to production-ready code.

London, UK

Why this role is remarkable

  • Join an elite 8-person team with deep startup experience, including former YC founders and previous company builders who operate with high intensity.
  • Massive early traction and stability with $7M in funding from top-tier investors like General Catalyst and founders of Perplexity and Dropbox.
  • Solve a critical global problem: reducing the environmental and financial cost of the billions lost to empty containers and fragmented supply chain data.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You Will Do

  • Take end-to-end ownership of new product features, from initial user problem discovery to backend architecture and frontend implementation.
  • Build and scale a real-time data platform that integrates siloed information from factories, carriers, and suppliers for global enterprise clients.
  • Collaborate directly with the C-suite of major companies like Scania to iterate on high-value AI solutions that optimize complex logistics flows.

The ideal candidate

  • At least two years of hands-on product engineering experience with a demonstrated track record of shipping complex, end-to-end products in a startup environment.
  • Broad technical proficiency across the stack, prioritizing strong computer science fundamentals and product instincts over narrow specialization in frontend or backend.
  • Exceptional drive and "signs of greatness," such as having founded a company, competitive programming success, or taking significant ownership at an ambitious early-stage startup.
