About the Company

Dex is an AI recruiter agent that helps you run your job search. Tell Dex your stack, seniority, and what you want to build. We will manage your applications and surface other opportunities that are a fit.

The Role Description

This team is building a new financial institution from first principles, purpose-built for the companies driving Europe's defence, security, and resilience buildout. A trillion-euro market is opening up, and the startups underpinning that shift are poorly served by traditional banks. This company exists to bank and finance them, backed by a highly selective accelerator.

As the first engineering hire, you will architect and build the core engineering stack from day one. This is full ownership: every technical decision, from architecture and infrastructure to security and product engineering. You will take the initial product from concept through production, working directly with the founder. This is hands-on building, not management. You will set the engineering bar and recruit the team around you.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
