Founding Engineer, Infrastructure & Platform — Own the backend and cloud foundations at a seed-stage AI risk company. London, on-site. Pre-Series A equity.
A seed-stage company is building agent-native risk infrastructure for enterprises in financial services, regulated technology, and healthcare. Seven-figure revenue within months of launch. Founders from Palantir, Oxford, Stanford, and ETH. Backed by angels from Meta, Isomorphic Labs, Palantir, and SpaceX.
You build the backend services at the core of the platform and own the foundations on which they run. The security and compliance teams at banks and hospitals won’t sign until they’re convinced the platform underneath is as trustworthy as the work it produces. You own that layer.

What You’ll Do
- Build and own backend services — APIs, async workflows, data models — with the same care as the infra under them
- Shape the Azure foundations: Container Apps, Service Bus, Front Door, Entra ID, all under Terraform
- Design multi-tenant isolation patterns across compute, data, and network layers
- Own deployment pipelines, observability stack, and on-call posture as the platform scales
- Build platform capabilities the team depends on: long-running agent jobs, large document processing, secure tool execution
- Drive compliance evidence automation (SOC 2, ISO 27001)
What We’re Looking For
- 6+ years backend engineering with deep infrastructure experience
- Significant Azure time (AWS/GCP fine with appetite to ramp)
- TypeScript ideally, or adjacent with willingness to switch
- Production IaC (Terraform), CI/CD, container orchestration
- Strong security posture: IAM, network segmentation, secrets, supply chain
- End-to-end compliance ownership — designing controls, not just answering about them
- Operational maturity: you’ve been on-call for systems that mattered
- King’s Cross, London — in-person by default
