The Role
This company is building an audit operating system, rethinking statutory audit for UK and Norwegian businesses. They offer a fixed-price, online service, onboarding in minutes, and testing every transaction, not just samples. It's a fundamental shift in a regulated industry, backed by leading investors with significant pre-seed funding.
You will be a Founding Engineer, owning the agent layer of this audit OS from day one. This isn't about picking up tickets; it's about defining the system that plans, executes, and checks audit work. Expect deep ambiguity, problems stated in a single sentence, and no pre-defined roadmap. This role is for someone who wants to build a process from scratch, not just contribute to an existing one.

The Work
- Own the agent layer of a new audit operating system, end-to-end.
- Design, build, and iterate on the system that plans, executes, and checks audit work.
- Develop the mechanisms for the agent layer to autonomously improve its evidence gathering and processing.
- Decompose complex, ambiguous audit processes into clear, executable engineering problems.
- Collaborate directly with state-authorised auditors to embed ISA standards and domain expertise into the system.
What You Bring
- You have shipped systems you were personally accountable for, owning them end-to-end.
- You have built and measured LLM systems, forming strong opinions beyond just prompting.
- You can decompose a complex, ambiguous process and iterate on it directly with subject-matter experts.
- You genuinely want to be in the office most of the week.
