Founding Engineer, Early Stage Start-Up
Remote (UK based) | Occasional London meetups | Permanent | £100k - £130k
Our client is building something from scratch and needs a Founding Engineer to help do it. You won't just be handed a roadmap, you'll be in the room shaping what gets built and how, right alongside the founders.
They would love someone with a solid academic background, so a Masters in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Maths or similar, but this isn't an academic role. You need to be someone who can roll their sleeves up and just get on with it, structure or no structure. But someone who sees vision, is a builder and not just a fixer.

What they need from you:
- A Masters in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Maths or something similar
- Strong tech stack in Back End and Front End Development
- System Architecture
- API Design
- Cloud infrastructure experience
- CI/CD
- Solid experience actually building products
- Experience in start-up-like environments
- You are passionate about what you do and able to own decisions
- Based in the UK and fine being remote most of the time, with the odd trip to London for the team.
- Ability to build and manage a team in the future
