We’re helping an ambitious London-based founder hire a Founding Engineer / future CTO for an early-stage Dating/Networking platform.
The founder is an experienced startup operator and previously ran a deep-tech accelerator. She has strong credibility on product, commercial strategy, and fundraising.
The business already has a live product, paying users, and early market validation. The founder is now looking for a technical counterpart who can take ownership of the technology, help shape the product, and build the company alongside her.
This is a hands-on founding role, with a genuine path to becoming CTO and potentially a long-term technical co-founder.
The Product
The company is building a platform combining AI, rich user data, and matching intelligence to create significantly better personalized matches.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
There is already technical support around the business, so the priority is not simply finding someone who can code, it is finding someone capable of owning the technical vision.

- Take ownership of product architecture and technical direction
- Remain highly hands-on with development
- Work directly with the founder on product strategy and execution
- Develop the platform’s AI, data, and matching capabilities
- Become the technical voice of the company with customers, partners, and investors
You are:
- A strong full-stack engineer with significant product-building experience
- Capable of independently making architectural and technical decisions
- Product-minded, commercially aware, and comfortable working with a non-technical founder
- Entrepreneurial and looking for genuine ownership rather than a conventional engineering job
- Able and willing to make a full-time founder-level commitment
- Based in London, or able to work closely with the founder in London
